Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has released the details of postgraduate medical admissions and seat matrix for candidates seeking admission to PG medical courses at colleges affiliated with Indraprastha University.
As per the university, a total of 565 postgraduate medical seats are available across four medical colleges. These four medical colleges are affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). For the academic session 2025-26, a total of 326 seats in VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, 213 seats in RML Hospital, 49 seats in ESI PGIMSR and 4 seats in Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya are available, as reported by Medical Dialogues.

The authorities have announced that if a candidate has already been offered a seat at any institution by the admission authorities other than IP University then that student will be required to submit a surrender certificate.

No, GGSIPU doesn't offer direct admission. IP University does not allow any of the affiliated colleges/institutes/agencies to grant direct admission to any of the courses of the university.
Yes, GGSIPU accepts CUET scores. For UG courses, CUET-UG and similarly for the PG courses, CUET-PG is applicable. However, it must be noted that preference is given to CUET scores after the respective national-level exams and the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the university. Some of the UG and PG programmes for which this entrance score is accepted are MCA, MA, BSc, BBA and allied programmes, BPharm, BCom (Hons), etc.
Indraprastha University BTech admission is done on the basis of a valid score of JEE Main or CUET. The university offers BTech for four-years divided into eight semesters. The IPU BTech course selection is done by a centralised counselling of the course.
In case a student fails to submit the surrender certificate, then their request to attend the counselling process will be cancelled. Furthermore, if a student holds a seat allotted during AIAPGET counselling of AACCC, Ministry of AYUSH, and their name appears on the list of ineligible candidates for participation in any subsequent State/UT/AIQ Counselling across the country, he/she will be ineligible to participate in that round of counselling conducted by the University.
