MBBS Academic Calendar 2022-23 Batch to Commence from Nov 15: NMC

NMC has released the guidelines for MBBS 2022-23 batch, the academic calendar 2022-23 for the undergraduate medical course to start from November 15, 2022.

National Medical Commission (NMC) has released a public notice that includes guidelines for MBBS 2022-23 batch. As per the notice, the academic calendar 2022-23 batch will start on November 15, 2022.

NMC's notification says, "It may please be noted that vacations and examinations schedules may be arranged as per the affiliated universities of the respective colleges."

The other broad guidelines are as mentioned below:

• Electives-2 blocks of 15 days each to be adjusted by colleges for (a) pre/ paraclinical branches and (b) clinical branches.
• Supplementary Exams are to be conducted with a gap of 1 month from the regular exams and results are to be declared within 15 days.
• There shall be no supplementary batches.
• The remaining rules and regulations shall be as per GMER 1997.
• Yoga, and family adoption program through village outreach shall continue as for 2021-22 batch.

MBBS Academic Calendar 2022-23 Details

The first professional year will be of 13 months including teaching, exam and results from November 15, 2022, to December 15, 2023, and the subjects will be Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry.

The second year will be from December 16, 2023, to January 15, 2025, and the subjects will be Pathology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology, 3rd year (III-Part 1) is of 10.5 months from January 16, 2025, to November 30, 2025, and the subjects will be For. Med & Toxicology and Community Medicine/PSM, fourth year (III-Part 2), duration 17.5 months from December 2025 to May 2027 with subjects Gen. Surgery, Gen. Med., Pediatrics, Ob.Gy, ENT, Ophth, and internship for 12 months from June 1, 2027, to May 31, 2028, as per CRMI 2021 regulations.
