NEET 2022 Expected on July 17
NEET 2022 is likely to be held on July 17. The registration process is expected to begin on April 2 on the official website of NTA NEET, which is neet.nta.ac.in and the window is likely to be open till May 7. As per a report by the Times News Network, NTA officials have confirmed the exam date and have stated that the official notification was scheduled to be released on March 31, but now the tentative date for the NEET 2022 notification release is April 2.
Shiksha.com had earlier reported that NEET 2022 will be conducted in July. Even though earlier the NTA officials had indicated that the test would be held in the third or fourth week of June, on account of Board exams scheduled in June and various other reasons, the exam would now be conducted in July.
NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
This year, there has been a change in the NEET eligibility criteria wherein the upper age limit of 25 years (unreserved category candidates) and 30 years (reserved category candidates) has been removed. Candidates who have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2022, will be eligible to appear for NEET 2022.

Apart from the age limit, candidates must have passed or appeared in Class 12 Board exam in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as core subjects. The minimum aggregate to be secured as per candidate category is as follows:

PWD category: 45 per cent

SC/ST/OBC: 40 per cent

Last year, as many as 16.14 lakh candidates had registered for NEET out of which 15.44 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. NEET 2021 was conducted in 13 languages in 202 cities across India and abroad. The exam pattern had also undergone changes.
