NEET Counselling 2025: Round 1 Reporting Ends Today; Round 2 Soon @mcc.nic.in

NEET Counselling 2025 round 1 reporting ends today, i.e. August 22, 2025, but the NEET UG round 2 registration link 2025 is yet to be activated on mcc.nic.in. The round 2 registration link was expected to be activated on August 21, but it hasn’t been activated yet, leaving many candidates waiting for the next update.
NEET UG Counselling 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is conducting the counselling process for admission to 15% All India Quota MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing seats across India, including 100% seats in Deemed/ Central Universities, All AIIMS institutes and JIPMER Puducherry.
As per the MCC notice dated August 6, 2025, the authorities announced that the NEET UG 2025 round 2 counselling registration will begin on August 21, 2025, and the counselling registration link will remain active till August 26, 2025. However, the NEET counselling 2025 registration link for fresh registration is still not active, keeping students in confusion about when NEET UG 2025 round 2 counselling registration will begin.
Students must note that MCC allows students for NEET counselling 2025 fresh registration for round 2 MBBS, BDS process. Since the round 2 registration link is not yet activated, the authorities are expected to announce NEET UG round 2 revised counselling dates 2025 anytime soon at the official website. Students will be able to check NEET UG counselling dates 2025 round 2 from MCC official website, i.e. mcc.nic.in.
NEET Counselling 2025: Round 1 Reporting Ends Today
Students who have been named in the NEET UG counselling 2025 round 1 seat allotment results have to complete the reporting and joining formalities by today, i.e. August 22, 2025. Students must note that only those candidates who complete the admission process before the deadline will be accepted for the allotted seats.
NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Round 1 Seat Resignation Underway
MCC has started the NEET UG 2025 counselling round 1 seat resignation process for candidates willing to leave their round 1 allotted seats. Students who wish to vacate their round 1 allotted seats can resign from their seats on or before August 25, 2025, without forfeiture of the security deposit. Any candidate applying for NEET UG counselling 2025 seat resignation from round 1 after the deadline will not be refunded the security deposit. Hence, students must ensure they do the needful before the deadline to ensure they get their security money refunded.

No, candidates need not report or join the allotted college of NEET counselling Round 1 since there is free exit. However if they want to retain the Round 1 seat and upgrade in Round 2 they have to physically join the college of Round 1 and give up-gradation willingness for Round 2 at the time of admission. In case candidates decide to resign the seat allotted to them in the first round, then they can do so prior to registering in the next round of NEET counselling.
The NEET counselling process is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) primarily in online mode. All the steps of the counselling process, including the registration, release of seat matrix, choice filling and locking, and release of the seat allotment result. Only the last and final round, which is the institute reporting, has to be done in offline mode. Herein candidates who have been allotted seats have to visit the institutes for document verification and complete the admission process by paying the requisite fee amount.
