NEET MDS Counselling 2025 Dates Revised: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the round 2 counselling dates for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery counselling for session 2025. Students who are seeking admission to PG dental courses can now fill and lock their choices till 12 Noon today, i.e. July 16, 2025. 

Earlier, the NEET MDS counselling 2025 choice filing and locking last date for round 2 admissions was 9 AM. The authorities announced the NEET MDS 2025 revised counselling dates owing to multiple requests from the students for an extension.

How to Fill and Lock Choices for NEET MDS Counselling 2025? 

Students have to follow the below steps for NEET MDS Counselling 2025 choice filling and locking: 

  • Log in to the candidate login page on the MCC portal - mcc.nic.in
  • From the options displayed on the left side of the screen, they need to select their preferences.
  • To include an option in their list, click the "+" icon next to the desired choice under NEET MDS choice filling and locking
  • The selected option will then shift from the left panel to the right.
  • Candidates can rearrange their preferences by moving the choices up or down in the list.
  • Once all selections are finalised, they should click on “Save and continue” and then “Save and go home page” to complete the process.
  • It is advisable to take a printout of the submitted choices and keep it for future use.

Q:   How many choices can I fill during NEET MDS counselling?
A:

There is no limit on the number of choices that a candidate can fill during the counselling of NEET MDS. These choices, however, should be in the order of preference as desired by the candidate. It must be noted choices have to be locked in the given deadline other it gets automatically locked. Candidates are advised to fill choices carefully as it can't be modified once the timeframe ends. Seats will be allotted based on choice declared by candidates and other factors. Total four rounds of NEET MDS counselling is held for allotment of 50% All India quota seats.

Q:   When did MCC announce the dates for NEET MDS 2025 counselling?
A:

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) announced the NEET MDS 2025 counselling dates on June 20, 2025. There were four rounds of NEET MDS counselling 2025, which were conducted from June 24, 2025, to September 8, 2025. No additional round was conducted.

Q:   Will I be eligible to participate in the NEET MDS counselling if I do not qualify for the exam?
A:

No, candidates have to qualify for NEET MDS to become eligible for NEET MDS counselling.  Candidates have to qualify for the NEET MDS exam with a minimum cutoff, which varies for each category. The minimum cutoff percentile for general category candidates is 50, while for SC/ST, the cutoff is 40th. Eligible candidates have to register on the official website, mcc.nic.in, to participate in the counselling for NEET MDS. Registration is followed by a choice declaration. Candidates can declare as many choices as they want to in order of their preferences.
