NEET PG 2025 Data Breach: Aspirants’ Personal Details Sold Online for ₹3,599
Amid counselling delay candidates have reported unwanted calls as NEET PG data surfaces on Telegram and web listings
Personal data of more than 1.38 lakh NEET PG 2025 candidates has reportedly been leaked and is being sold online for as low as ₹3,599.
Leaked database has names, fathers’ names, phone numbers, email addresses, application IDs, roll numbers, cities, states, scores, and ranks which are meant to remain strictly confidential. Multiple online listings and Telegram channels are openly offering “NEET PG 2025 Student Database” as a digital product, with prices ranging between ₹3,000 and ₹8,500.
Some sellers have even shared sample details of students displaying details of around 200 NEET PG 2025 students. One listing is offering full data set for just ₹3,599.
Aspirants have reported receiving unwanted calls and messages from private “counsellors” promising postgraduate seats under management and NRI quotas. “I have received calls from NEET PG counsellors for the past few days. How did they get my phone number? Many websites are selling the NEET PG 2025 student database, which is a complete breach of privacy,” said one candidate, requesting anonymity.
Dr Vibhor Gupta, founder of The Medical Bulletin, posted on X, “It’s deeply unfortunate that the personal data of 1,38,456 NEET PG aspirants has reportedly been leaked and sold online for just ₹3,599. The website allegedly displays sample data publicly to build trust with potential buyers.”
Medical student Abhishek Ranjan also voiced anger: “#NEETPG students’ personal data, ID, roll number, all being sold online like a commodity in just ₹3,599. What kind of shameless system is this? NMC and its IT partners have failed miserably in protecting students’ privacy. This isn’t just negligence, it’s a criminal betrayal of trust.”
Echoing the sentiment, another user, @Indian__doctor, termed it “OUTRAGEOUS!”, saying data including application IDs, emails, phone numbers, and roll numbers is being sold “like a commodity in just ₹3,599,” before slamming the authorities: “Shame on @NMC_BHARAT. Shame on the entire rotten system.”
Dr Logik, another user, went a step further, writing, “Data of all NEET PG 2025 candidates has been leaked including phone numbers, email IDs, parents’ names, and addresses! Each and every exam conducting authority in this Modi era is a joke. No privacy, no accountability!”
