NEET PG 2025 SC Hearing on Sept 23; Supreme Court to Hear Transparency Plea on Priority
NEET PG 2025 Supreme Court hearing on transparency and mode of answer key release has been scheduled for September 23, 2025. The NEET PG SC hearing 2025 has been listed as top top-priority matter, and the proceedings will begin with the NEET PG 2025 case.
NEET PG 2025 Supreme Court Hearing: The Supreme Court of India will hear the plea concerning the transparency in the National Eligibility-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 exam on September 23, 2025. The Apex Court will hear the NEET PG 2025 case on priority and has listed the matter at the top of the board on September 23, 2025. Reportedly, the Apex Court bench comprising Justices J.B. Pardiwala and K.V. Viswanathan has ordered in the last hearing, on September 19, 2025, about the postponement of the NEET PG 2025 SC hearing date.
"List on 23-9-2025 on top of the Board," The SC bench mentioned.

NEET PG 2025 SC Hearing: What's The Matter?
The NEET PG 2025 transparency plea was filed by a group of NEET PG 2025 aspirants before the Supreme Court, seeking SC intervention in the structure of NEET PG 2025. Reportedly, the petitioners challenge the 'corrective notice' issued by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), which mentioned that the question ID numbers, correct answer key and responses marked by the students will be displayed.
“Since the sequence of questions asked within a section is shuffled for different candidates and the order of four distractors of a question is also shuffled for different candidates appearing in NEET-PG 2025, the question ID Numbers, correct answer key and responses marked shall be displayed as per the Master set of Question Paper used for NEET-PG 2025." The official notification reads.
Following the release of the aforementioned notification, a group of students urged the Supreme Court of India to take action against the 'Ambiguous' Answer Key released by NBEMS. The NEET PG 2025 SC plea claimed that the disclosure of the answer key was merely a formality by the NBEMS and was "opaque, unintelligible and incapable of meaningful verification."
NEET PG 2025 SC Hearing: Bench Questioned Petitioners
During the previous NEET PG Supreme Court hearing 2025, the bench questioned the petitioners' intentions and adjourned the petition. The bench asked it is because they got fewer marks; they think there is no transparency in the examination?
The court further highlighted that people take undue advantage of the law whenever the court tries to ensure a smooth process. Further, adjourned the SC NEET PG 2025 hearing for September 23, 2025.
NEET PG 2026 exam is expected to be held in August 2026. Candidates have to apply online to submit application form for NEET PG exam. Registration is mandatory to submit application for NEET PG. NBE will release dates and other crucial details such as application process, elligibility criteria, exam pattern etc along with the official brochure. The exam will be held in computer-based mode.
No. NEET PG 2025 exam was held in online mode on August 3, 2025. NEET PG question paper 2025 had 200 multiple choice questions and candidates were provided 3.5 hours to answer them. Candidates have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. Qualifying cut off differ for each category. NBE will declare NEET PG 2025 result online.
