MCC has released revised seat matrix for NEET PG 2025 allocation. A total of 28,663 seats will be allotted through various rounds of NEET PG 2025 counselling. A total of 103 seats have been withdrawn  and 6 have been added as per revised NEET PG 2025 seat matrix. Originally, 28,760 seats were to be allotted.

NEET PG seat matrix has been revised by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Total 28,663 seats will be allotted through NEET PG 2025 counselling. Seat matrix has been revised by MCC after receiving final number from medical institutes regarding addition and withdrawal. A total of 103 seats have been withdrawn and 6 added in final seat matrix for NEET PG 2025 admission.

In round-1 final seat matrix, 49 MD & MS, and 54 DNB seats have been withdrawn as per the data published on the official website of MCC. At the same time, 6 new seats from private hospitals have been added in seat matrix.

Earlier, MCC had published total 25, 760 seats which includes 12,678 AIQ category, 804 Central Internal Quota, 6,156 under Deemed University, and 9,122 under DNB category seats.

NEET PG 2025 counselling round-1 is underprocess. Registration for round-1 counselling had started on October 17, 2025. Reset registration was opened on October 25, 2025. Round-1 choice filling began on October 28, 2025. Deadline for round-1 registration and choice filling is November 5, 2025. MCC will announce round-1 seat allotment result on November 8, 2025. A total of 4 round sof counselling will be held for NEET PG 2025 seat allocation.

Q:   How many seats are available in NEET PG?
A:

NEET PG exam is conducted for admission to 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS) and 922 PG Diploma in 6,102 government, private, deemed/central universities. Candidates have to appear in the exam and qualify it with the minimum cut off marks as per the category. Thereafter, he/she will have to participate in the counselling process for seat allocation. Candidates have to register on the official website and declare choice for college and course for NEET PG counselling process. Seats are allotted based on choice declared, NEET PG rank, available seats, reservation fcator etc.

Q:   Which are the institutes that do not accept NEET PG scores for admission?
A:

15 AIIMS including AIIMS New Delhi, PGIMER Chandigarh, JIPMER, Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru, SGPGI Lucknow, and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum do not accept NEET PG scores. A separate exam is conducted for admission at these institutes, i.e INI CET. The exam is conducted twice in a year in computer-based mode.

Q:   How much time is provided to join allotted college after seat allocation?
A:

For every counselling round, reporting deadline is provided in the counselling schedule. Candidates can submit fees and report till the given deadline. Though candidates can report till last day, but they are advised to report before the deadline due to different schedule of holiday/working hours in various Medical Colleges/Institutes. Also they are advised to carry all original certificates and documents during reporting.
