NEET UG 2022 Counselling Round 1: MCC adds 242 more MBBS seats
MCC has added 242 more MBBS seats to NEET UG 2022 counselling round 1, read here to get the details.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added 242 more MBBS seats to NEET UG 2022 counselling round 1. The Committee had recently added 197 MBBS seats to round 1. The reason for adding more seats is that some medical colleges received the Letter of Permission from the National Medical Commission (NMC) on October 17, 2022.
MCC's official notification reads, "The Medical Counselling Committee has received information from the following institutes (List enclosed) about new seats which could not be contributed by the colleges before the start of Round-1 of UG Counselling 2022 as LoPs from NMC were received on 17.10.2022. Therefore, the competent authority has decided to include the following M.B.B.S seats in the seat matrix of Round 1 of UG Counselling 2022 for the larger interest of candidates. The freshly contributed seats are being added to the seat matrix as per the attached list."
"Also the seats of NRI Quota in Aligarh Muslim University were not being displayed to the eligible candidate is now rectified. The eligible candidates will now be able to exercise the choice filling on the NRI Quota Seats in Aligarh Muslim University," added the notification.
The online registration for NEET UG 2022 counselling round 1 ended on October 18, 2022. There will be four rounds of NEET 2022 counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats - Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up and Stray Vacancy Round.
