NEET UG 2023: Over 21 lakh candidates registered this year
NEET UG 2023 exam will be held on May 7, 2023. This year, aspirants have set a new record as more than 21 lakh students have registered for the upcoming exam as compared to last year's 18 lakh and 72 thousand students. National Testing Agency (NTA) closed the NEET UG 2023 registration yesterday, April 6, 2023.
With over 21 lakh National Eligibility cum Entrance Test aspirants registering for NEET UG 2023 exam, the candidates have created a new record as compared to last year when the total number of aspirants registered was 18 lakh and 72 thousand.
Over 21 lakh candidates have got themselves registered and over 20 lakh candidates are expected to take the exam, as reported by Times Now.
The exam fees increased this year, the application fee for the General category was INR 1,700, for the OBC category, it was INR 1,600, INR 1,000 for Reserved category candidates, and for Foreign nationals, the registration fee was INR 9,500.
The medical entrance exam is held every year once in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Assamese, Gujarati, Marathi, Odia, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi and Telugu.
It is for admission to 99,763 MBBS seats, 27,868 BDS seats, 52,720 BAMS seats, and 603 BVSc & AH seats.
NEET UG 2023: More Details
The exam will be held on May 7, 2023, and the NEET UG 2023 admit card will tentatively be released on the first week of May (by May 3 or May 4), or the fourth week of April. It is one of the crucial documents, the candidates need to carry at the exam centre. It carries important details regarding the exam and candidates, such as candidate name, NEET Roll Number, photograph and signature, exam centre name and address and exam day instructions.
