The NEET UG 2024 counselling special stray vacancy round began on November 20, 2024. The last date to pay the requisite fee is November 21, 2024, 3 PM. The choice filling and locking processes are scheduled between November 20 and November 22, 2024.
NEET UG Counselling 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round Begins
The NEET UG 2024 counselling special stray vacancy round began on November 20, 2024. Fresh registration is not permitted in this round. Only those who had registered in the earlier rounds, have not been allotted seats, or have not joined any institute yet, will be eligible to participate in the fifth and tentatively final round of NEET 2024 counselling.
The payment facility is open from November 20, 2024, 10 AM, to November 21, 2024, 3 PM. The choice filling process is scheduled from November 20 to November 22, 2024. The choice locking window will be open from November 21, 2024, 8 PM to November 22, 2024, 8 AM.
The seat matrix for this round is yet to be released by the Medical Counselling Committee yet. Candidates have to fill fresh choices in this round. Seat choices submitted after the last date will be considered null and void.
NEET 2024 Counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round Fee
MCC has laid down the following information regarding the fee payment of the NEET 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy round.
- All AIQ Registered candidates irrespective of their category are required to pay a Refundable Security Deposit of INR 50,000 for participation in Special Stray Vacancy Round for exercising choices for Government. seats.
- Candidates registered for Deemed Universities will have to pay the Refundable Security Deposit of INR 3,00,000 to exercise choices for Deemed University.
- Refundable Security Deposit of candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in Special Stray Vacancy Round will be Forfeited and they will not be eligible to take NEET UG exam for next year i.e. 2025.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG Counselling 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round
The eligibility criteria for participating in this round are given below:
- Candidates must have registered earlier and have paid the requisite fee amount
- Candidates must not hold any seat in the previous rounds of NEET-UG Counselling, 2024 of All India Quota/State Quota/ Deemed University.
- Candidates must not have joined an institute allotted in the previous rounds of NEET UG 2024 AIQ counselling or State Counselling.
- Candidates who were allotted seats in Round 3 or Stray Vacancy Round but did not join the seats.
The seat allotment result will be declared on November 23, 2024. The institute reporting process will be conducted from November 25 to November 30, 2024.

MCC conducts the NEET counselling for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc. Nursing courses. On the other hand, the State Counselling Authorities conduct the admission process for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and other medical or allied courses.
