Candidates with benchmark disabilities will be provided compensatory time of one hour in addition to 3 hour exam period. The total NEET exam timing for disabled students is 4 hours.

NTA has released an official notification for all students appearing in the exam. The advisory includes all the preparation done for the exam day, exam day guidelines, dress code and other important information. 

There are a total of 180 compulsory questions in the exam. Till 2024, there were 200 questions, and students were given the option to do any 180 questions out of 200. However, from 2025 onwards NTA has reduced the number of question from 200 to 180.

The starting time of NEET exam is 2 PM. The exam will be conducted till 5 PM. However, students with disability benchmarks will be allowed one extra hour for the exam. Students must note that the entry gate will close at 1:30 PM. They must try to by 1 PM under any circumstances. 

The total number of questions in the NEET 2026 question paper is 180. In 2024, the total number of questions was 200, but the 20 extra questions were optional. From 2025 onwards, the question paper pattern has been revised.

There will be a total of four question paper sets in NEET question paper with each divided into six sub-sets. While the questions in each NEET question paper are the same, the arrangement or the positioning of the question will vary. In 2025, NTA used specific codes i.e. 45, 46, 47, 48. 

Students must carry a printed copy of their admit card, one valid photo ID, and two passport-size photographs. They should check the exact venue of their exam centre from the admit card, as map may show incorrect locations.

Students have to wear half-sleeve clothes without large buttons. They must choose slippers or sandals with low heels instead of closed shoes.
