NEET UG Counselling 2024: MCC Notifies on Security Deposit Refund; Know Guidelines
MCC has released the list of candidates eligible for security deposit refund including the roll number, refund, refund ARN, bank reference number and refund date of the candidates who appeared for the UG medical counselling process.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a notice and refund list for undergraduate medical counselling on the official website. All the UG candidates who participated in the NEET UG 2024 counselling process are informed about the refund of the security deposit. The authorities have released the list of candidates eligible for refund as per MCC rules and regulations/ counselling scheme. Meanwhile, the authorities have released several guidelines concerning the NEET UG refund policy. Candidates are advised to take note of the following:
- Refunds have been processed to the same account or card from which the security deposit was paid to MCC.
- The refund will be credited to the candidate's account within 1 to 15 days, depending on the level of automation at the candidate’s bank.
- If there is an excessive delay in receiving the refund, candidates should contact their bank’s "Grievance Cell" and provide the refund reference for assistance.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the registrations for NEET UG 2025 in online mode. Students willing to appear for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG) can fill the application form online till March 7, 2025, at neet.nta.nic.in. Besides, NTA has announced the NEET UG 2025 exam date. The authorities will conduct the NEET 2025 exam on May 4, 2025, in paper pencil-based mode in a single day and shift across India.

The NEET counselling registration fee varies for different candidate categories. For the AIQ seats and Central Universities, the fee for the General category candidates is INR 1,000 and for the SC, ST, OBC and PwD category candidates, the fee is INR 500. For participating in the NEET counselling process for Deemed Universities, the registration fee for all category candidates is INR 5,000. The registration fee is non-refundable. On the other hand, candidates will have to pay the tuition fee which is refundable. The amount for the General category candidates for the AIQ seats and Central Universities is INR 10,000. For the reserved category candidates, the amount is INR 5,000. For Deemed Universities, the tuition fee to be paid by all category candidates is INR 2,00,000. Those who would not be allotted a seat after the NEET counselling process will be refunded the tuition fee after the conclusion of the counselling rounds.
