NIHFW to Launch Training Initiative for Health Professionals Under Ayushman Bharat Scheme
As a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of India and the Government of Delhi is still to be signed, NIHFW has stated its willingness to undertake the training if required.
The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) is planning to offer training programmes for health professionals in Delhi under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme. The Government of India is likely to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Delhi to help with the scheme's implementation.
Dr Dheeraj Shah, Director of NIHFW, shared that they have a collaboration with the National Health Authority (NHA) for Ayushman Bharat-related training. And these courses take care of the management of the infrastructure, management of the health structures, and health system enhancing, which are involved in the execution of Ayushman Bharat at the grassroots level.
During his speech, Dr Shah stated that NIHFW has been training health professionals based on requirements set by the NHA across the country. He further said that the training the health professionals who are involved in the delivery of the Ayushman Bharat programme aims to deliver effectively to reach the last mile.
As the MoU between the Government of India and the Government of Delhi has yet to be signed, NIHFW has stated its willingness to provide training if necessary.
Further, the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) intends to introduce a new training program designed exclusively for doctors to assist them in communicating successfully with patients and their families. The new course comes amid an increase in the number of confrontations reported at healthcare facilities.
