The Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) Committee has released the provisional merit list for Odisha NEET 2024 counselling. As many as 5,417 candidates have been considered eligible to participate in the Odisha NEET counselling 2024 Round 1. The last date to submit grievances is August 19, 2024, 5 PM.

The Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) Committee has released the provisional merit list for Odisha NEET 2024 counselling. As many as 5,417 candidates have been considered eligible to participate in the Odisha NEET counselling 2024 Round 1. The last date to submit grievances is August 19, 2024, 5 PM.

Stating the procedure to submit grievances against the Odisha NEET 2024 counselling provisional merit list, OJEE said, โ€œIn case of any query/doubt/complaint regarding the rank/merit, the candidates can contact the Chairman/Secretary, OJEE (mail id: odishaojee.mbbsquerry@gmail.com) by 05.00 PM on 19.08.2024.โ€

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to download the Odisha NEET 2024 counselling provisional merit list:

  • Visit the official website of Odisha NEET counselling โ€“ ojee.nic.in
  • Click on the link โ€˜Provisional State Merit List for MBBS/BDS Admission 2024-25 (After 1st Round)
  • Download the PDF and find your Application Number to check your merit status

List of Eligible Candidates for PC and ES Categories

OJEE has also released the list of eligible candidates for the Physically Challenged and Ex-Servicemen categories. The lists were prepared based on the physical and document verification processes which were conducted between August 13 and August 16, 2024.

Q: ย  Who conducts Odisha NEET UG counselling?
A:

Odisha NEET UG counselling process is conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). OJEE conducts the counselling process for the undergraduate medical courses, MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS. It is the state counselling for the 85 per cent State Quota (SQ) seats of the Odisha state. Candidates who qualify for the NEET exam are eligible to participate in this state counselling. Even though OJEE is the counselling authority for Odisha NEET UG counselling, the process and rules are inclined as per the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS). Odisha NEET UG Counselling is done by a Committee consisting of OJEE Chairman, OJEE Vice-Chairman, OJEE Secretary OJEE, and three Members  (Additional Director of DMET Odisha, and two other Members).

Q: ย  What is the fees for MBBS in a government college of Odisha, the admission to which is done through Odisha NEET counselling?
A:

The annual course fee for MBBS in a government medical college of Odisha is around INR 40,000. According to OJEE, the authority for Odisha NEET counselling, fees to be deposited to government medical/dental colleges is INR 37,950 per annum. Additional fees as prescribed by concerned Govt. Colleges may be collected at institutional level which may vary from institution to institution. On the other hand, annual MBBS fees for private medical colleges ranges from INR 5.5 Lacs to INR 6.5 lakh. OJEE also states, "NRI candidates have to pay four times of the above fees in private colleges."

A:

The seat allotment dates for Odisha NEET counselling vary for each round. At first, Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) releases the provisional seat allotment result, which is followed by the objection raising or reporting for discrepancies. After that, the final seat allotment list is released. Odisha NEET 2025 counselling Round 1 and Round 2 results were declared on August 16 and September 19, 2025, respectively.
