Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) in Uttar Pradesh has launched registration for stray vacancy round of UP NEET UG counselling 2025. Stray round is final opportunity for eligible candidates forย admissions in MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical and dental colleges in UP.

As per the latest schedule announced, online registration process began today, November 11, 2025, and will conclude on November 14, 2025. NEET UG 2025 qualifiers can apply through official portal at upneet.gov.in. Candidates need to complete registration and pay a non-refundable fee of โ‚น2,000.

Merit list for this round will likely be announced on November 14 for seat allocations.

Eligibility for stray vacancy round is limited to candidates who have not received any seat allotment in previous rounds of UP NEET UG 2025 counselling. Those already admitted via All India Quota, other state counseling, or who failed to report after allotment, resigned, or were admitted to BDS in earlier rounds (unless opting for MBBS) are ineligible.

However, candidates previously registered but unallotted in prior rounds will not have to repay security deposit. First time participants will have to submit it as per category, โ‚น30,000 for government seats, โ‚น2 lakh for private MBBS seats, and โ‚น1 lakh for private BDS seats.

Q: ย  What is the significance of APAAR ID for NEET UG registration?

APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. APAAR ID is a unique 12-digit code which acts as a permanent digital identity for students using which they can store their academic details such as mark sheets, scorecards, etc. NEET aspitants neeed to link their Aadhaar with the APAAR ID to register for the exam.

Q: ย  My father's name in Aadhar Card and 10th marksheet are a bit different. Is it necessary to get it corrected for NEET UG application?
A:

Yes, it is necessary to correct your father's name in the Aadhaar card as per your Class 10 mark sheet before filling the NEET 2025 application form. Since the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the notification mentioning the mandate of Aadhaar Card for the application process. NTA has stated, "Aspirants are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar details (especially their name and date of birth as per 10th passing certificate), including facial recognition data, are up to date for an optimal experience during registration process and verification processes. This can be done at the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment/Update Center." Also, this year, the Aadhaar number will be used to auto-fill the NEET application form to reduce manual errors. Hence, it is all the more important to correct personal and educational details in the Aadhaar Card before the application process commencement. 

Q: ย  What is the NEET registration date?
A:

The NEET 2026 registration process will start soon. The last date to complete the registration process will be a month after the commencement. Registration is the first step of application wherein candidates have to enter the basic details, validate the OTP and create password. In the NEET application process, candidates have to login with their credentials and then fill up the form, upload documents and pay the application fee of NEET 2026.
