Over 10K Delhi government school teachers to get Deshbhakti curriculum training soon
The Delhi government launched the Deshbhakti curriculum in 2021 for inculcating an 'India-first' mindset among school students, and now more than 10,000 teachers will get the training soon to teach the curriculum. As per the government, the goal is to instil a sense of patriotism in children.

Moreover, the core staff and master trainers will undergo capacity-building training. The education department has assigned 36,000 teachers to teach the course, and more than 2000 teachers have received training for it. Over 18 lakh children from nursery to class 12 have been part of the Deshbhakti Curriculum.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the Deshbhakti curriculum aimed to encourage children to speak out against any injustice done to others and to help them develop the proper perspective on the world around them. During a review meeting with the core team working on the curriculum, he said that the government's goal is to instil a sense of patriotism in children, as reported by India Today.

The education department has planned to include a new teachers' manual from class 6 to class 12 for the curriculum, train the teachers associated with it and hold orientation of school heads.
“There are also plans to create a data collection and monitoring system for better implementation of curriculum and impact study,” an official statement said.
