A circular issued by the Rama Medical College Hospital and Research Centre claimed that the National Exit Test is going to be a reality for MBBS batch 2018.

All India Students Dental Association/DENTODONTICS has questioned the experts about whether the National Exit Test (NeXT) is going to start for the MBBS 2018 batch as claimed by the circular of Rama Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kanpur.

The tweet reads, "A CIRCULAR NOTICE IS BEEN OUT BY Rama Medical College Kanpur about #MBBSNEXTEXAM claiming it can happen from 2018 batch? Is it true?"

The official circular says, "National Exit Test is going to be a reality for MBBS Batch 2018 who would be appearing for their final MBBS Part II Exam in year 2023. NeXT will be held in two phases - NeXT I and NeXT II. NeXT I will be held on a single day all over the country and will be conducted by NBE. It will be MCQ based papers. Rama Medical College Hospital and Research Centre will be running mock practice tests on fortnightly bases starting from August 31, 2022."

More Details on NeXT Exam in 2023

The Rama Medical College Hospital and Research Centre has directed its various departments to prepare question banks by August 25. The official notification says, "A secure email ID shall be intimated to the HODs for sharing the question bank on August 25."

NeXT exam is expected to start in 2023 for final year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) students. It will be an online examination which is expected to replace the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG and serve as an entrance test for admission to PG medical degree programs. Along with being a common qualifying final year MBBS exam, it will also be mandatory to get a practising licence in India.
