Indian Air Force (IAF) has published the AFCAT (1) 2021 notification on November 28. The online form of AFCAT will be released on December 1.

Indian Air Force (IAF) has published the AFCAT (1) 2021 notification on November 28. The notification has been published in the employment newspaper. Online form of AFCAT will be released on December 1. Interested candidates can apply for the exam on or before December 30, 2020. AFCAT application form fee is Rs 250 across all categories

AFCAT (1) 2021 notification has been released for admission to the courses commencing in January 2022 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical). The selection is done on the basis of AFCAT written examination and AFSB Interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for AFCAT exam needs to fulfill the following eligibility criteria in terms of age and educational qualification.

  • For Flying Branch, candidates should be aged between 20 and 24 years
  • For Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branch, candidates should be aged between 20 and 26 years
  • The required educational qualification is graduation

Number of AFCAT vacancies

A total of 235 vacancies have been announced. 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies are reserved for Permanent Commission (PC) and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies are reserved for SSC. Read More
