Assam Police SI exam 2020 canceled due to question paper leak, new date to be announced within a month. Check other details here.

Sub-Inspector (UB) Examination of Assam Police, scheduled to be held on September 20, 2020, has been canceled by State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam after the question paper was leaked and was circulated on WhatsApp before the commencement of the examination.

In the interest of the candidates who had been preparing tirelessly for the exam and to ensure merit based selection, on the direction of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam, the examination was canceled. The new exam date is expected to be announced shortly, the date is anticipated within a month.

The written exam for Assam Police SI the recruitment for 597 posts of SI (UB) was scheduled at 154 centres in all the districts of Assam. The exam time was from 12 Noon to 3 P.M. However, before the exam began, many candidates received the question paper through a WhatsApp circulation. An FIR is filed with CID, Assam, to investigate and take legal action against the culprits.

The notification for the recruitment of Assam Police Sub-inspectors (UB) was released on April 11, 2018 and an addendum or notice was issued relating to the recruitment on November 6, 2020. Candidates can gather information on exam centres and important exam days guidelines from the Assam Police SI admit card that has already been released on September 3.

The written exam is the first stage of the recruitment, there are two other stages, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Computer Proficiency Test.
