UPSC has released CDS (2) 2019 result on November 1. Aditi Parida, from Odisha, has topped the exam among women.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released CDS (2) 2019 result on November 1. Odisha born girl, Aditi Parida has topped the exam among women. She has been selected for Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course in Officersโ€™ Training Academy (OTA). Aditi is the first women from Odisha to top CDS exam and selected for  training for Army Officer.

Aditi, an ace volleyball player and national level debate champion, has completed her graduation in mass communication from Symbiosis College, Pune. She is also a good classical dancer.

While talking to national dailies, Aditi said, โ€œI was motivated to join the Indian Army since my childhood. I am born and brought up in an army atmosphere as my father serves as a brigadier. Serving Mother India is a dream of my life.โ€

CDS 2019 merit list carries a total of 241 candidates, out of which 174 have cleared the exams for Officers Training Academy, Chennai, for short service Commission Course (NT) (for Men) and 67 have cleared the exams for Officers Training Academy, Chennai, Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course.

CDS is conducted for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Selected candidates undergo training at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers' Training Academy (OTA). The exam is held twice a year usually in February and September.
