Bihar Police Sub-Ordinate Service Commission (BPSSC) has deferred the Bihar Police Sub Inspector (SI) main examination in the wake of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bihar Police Sub-Ordinate Service Commission (BPSSC) has deferred the Bihar Police Sub Inspector (SI) main examination in the wake of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Before this, Bihar SI main examination was scheduled to take place on April 26, 2020. The BPSSC SI exam has now been deferred to an undecided date. Those candidates who have cleared the BPSSC SI preliminary examination are eligible to appear for the main examination. From the official website of BPSSC – bpssc.bih.nic.in, candidates can go through the official notification pertaining to the postponement of the exam. To check the notification, visit the official website bpssc.bih.nic.in.

After going through the official website, on the homepage, you will see a link reading “Important Notice: Regarding postponement of Combined Mains (Written) Examination scheduled on April 26, 2020 for selection of candidates for the vacant posts of Police Sub Inspector, Assistant Superintendent Jail (Direct recruitment), Assistant Superintendent Jail (Ex- Servicemen) in Bihar Police. (Advt. No. 01/2019)”.

For the recruitment of 2,446 vacancies of three different posts, BPSSC is holding recruitment examinations. The three different posts are Assistant Superintendent Jail (direct recruitment), Assistant Superintendent Jail (Ex-Servicemen), Police Sub Inspector in Bihar Police.
