UPSC has postponed NDA 1 2020 written exam till further notice due to the outbreak of coronavirus. Check details here.

In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak in India, UPSC has postponed NDA 1 2020 written exam which was scheduled to be held on April 19 till further notice. NDA admit card 2020 has also been delayed.

In the wake of Coronavirus outbreak in the country, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed NDA 1 2020 exam till further notice. The written exam was scheduled to be conducted on April 19, however, the exam conducting authority had to postponed the exam as a precautionary measure and keeping in mind the safety of the candidates. As a result of this, the admit card has also been delayed. The commission will notify the new NDA exam dates once the situation is under control.

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, several recruitment exams conducted by central and state governments have been canceled. Even UPSC has also deferred IAS interview. The commission has also deferred the interview schedule of various other posts such as Scientist B, Assistant Professor (Applied Art), Assistant Director (CPDO), etc. The application process of IES/ISS has also been postponed.

NDA is conducted for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Wings of National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy Courses (INAC). Every year around 6 lakh candidates appear in the exam which is conducted in two stages, written and SSB Interview. This year, a total of 418 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment exam.

NDA written exam is divided into two parts, GAT and Mathematics. There will be a total of 150 questions in GAT while the Mathematics part will carry a total of 120 questions. The GAT section is divided into two parts. Part A comprises English while Part B consists of General Knowledge. The GAT section will be for 600 marks while the Mathematics section will carry 300 marks. Each section will be held for 2 ½ hours. Read more on exam pattern and syllabus.

NDA admit card is issued to candidates three weeks before the exam. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website by logging with the required credentials. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post.

Yes, you can give the NDA exam as you have qualified the Class 12 exam. As per the age requirement candidates age should lie between 16.5 to 19.5 years to apply for the NDA exam. However, go through the eligibility criteria properly once before applying for the exam.

To know the specific venue in Vijayawada, candidate need to check the admit card released by the UPSC. It has been allotted via first-come, first-served basis during the filling out of the application form.

The UPSC will conduct the NDA 2 exam on September 13, 2026. The official provisional answer key will be released on the official portal at upsc.gov.in. Candidates will be able to download the answer key PDF for all sets from this page as well.

The Commission released the NDA 2 notification 2026 on the official portal at upsc.gov.in on May 20, 2026. The last date to apply for NDA 2 is June 11, 2026.

The Commission released the NDA 1 notification 2026 on December 10. Along with the notification, the application process was started. The last date to fill the application form online was December 30.

The Mathematics syllabus of NDA written exam consists of Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Calculus, Statistics and Probability that is all base on 10+2 level.
