Mandatory provision of upload of documents at the time of filling the CSIR NET application form 2020 has been relaxed by NTA.

Document upload criteria for CSIR NET NET applications 2020

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has relaxed the document/certificate upload criteria for candidates filling the CSIR NET application form 2020. As per the notification released by NTA, many candidates are finding it difficult to obtain the valid caste certificate, result awaited attestation form and other such documents from the concerned authority in view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. The agency has decided to relax the document upload criteria as the last date to fill the CSIR NET application form is near – May 15, 2020.

However, candidates who are not able to upload the required documents/certificates need to upload an undertaking mentioning, β€œThe updated and valid Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD etc.)/Result Awaited Attestation Form/any other documents from competent authority shall be furnished as and when it is required by the CSIR.” It may be noted that the scanned copies of the photograph and signature, however, are still mandatory to upload at the time of CSIR UGC NET registration 2020.

The NTA has advised all candidates to obtain the valid certificates so that the same can be submitted as and when demanded. For any other clarifications, candidates or their parents can call NTA on their helpline numbers.

As already mentioned above, the last date for submission of CSIR NET 2020 application form is May 15. With the nation-wide lockdown further extended till May 17, it is likely that the CSIR NET online form submission date will be extended again. Also, the CSIR UGC NET 2020 exam which is currently scheduled to be held on June 21 is likely to be delayed in view of the situation arising of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. However, an official statement on the same by NTA is yet to be released.
