GIC 2021 exam postponed due to increase in COVID-19 cases; new exam date to be announced soon
GIC 2021 online test has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exam is scheduled to be held on May 9. Fresh admit cards will be issued to candidates once the new exam dates will be announced.
As the exam has been postponed, therefore, GIC will issue fresh admit cards to candidates once the exam date is finalised. Earlier, GIC admit card 2021 was released on April 15.

GIC recruitment is conducted in two phases. Phase-I is the online test while Phase-II comprises Group Discussion and Interview. GIC exam pattern of online test is conducted separately for different streams-Finance/Chartered Accountants, General, Legal and Insurance. There is negative marking for wrong answers in GIC 2021 exam. For wrong answers, one-fourth of marks assigned to the question will be deducted for incorrect answers. The total marks allotted to the test are 150 marks. The test paper carries a total of 123 questions. Also Read: GIC Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The minimum qualifying marks in the online test are 60 per cent for General & OBC and 50 per cent for SC/ST. Minimum qualifying marks for the overall selection process (online test, GD and Interview) are 60 per cent for General & OBC and 50 per cent for SC /ST.
