IAS 2020 Prelims: South Central Railway will run special trains

The UPSC IAS 2020 prelims exam will be conducted on October 4. The Union Public Service Commission has made all the arrangements to effectively conduct the IAS prelims 2020 exam. To help the candidates appear in the IAS prelims 2020, South Central Railway (SCR), Vijaywada announced to run special trains for the D-day.
“In order to facilitate the candidates attending Union Public Service Examination (UPSC), SCR will run two special trains between Vijayawada–Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada,” said a railway zone spokesperson.
The SCR announced that the train number 07233 from Vijayawada to Visakhapatnam will depart Vijayawada at 3 PM on Saturday (October 3) and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 10 p.m. on the same day. For the return journey, the train bearing the number 07234 will depart Visakhapatnam at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday (October 4) and arrive at Vijayawada at 4 PM on Monday (October 5).

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Indian will hear the petition seeking postponement of IAS prelims 2020 exam because of the coronavirus pandemic, floods and now the farmers’ agitation across the northern part of India. The UPSC had filed an affidavit in the apex court regarding its stand on the issue.
IAS prelims is considered as the toughest exam in the nation because of many reasons, The IAS prelims is a pen and paper-based objective exam conducted simultaneously across the nation. The question paper is the same across the nation, irrespective to the region and language.

The IAS prelims exam is the first stage of the three-stage UPSC Civil Services Exam. It is a screening exam and the marks secured in the IAS Prelims is not considered for the final merit list. The UPSC IAS admit card was issued on September 1.
