UPSC IAS Result 2019 declared by the Commission on January 14, 2020. The candidates need to fill and upload the Detailed Application Form(DAF II) from January 17- 27, 2020 till 6 p.m. on the official website of UPSC. The IAS Interview schedule will be available from January 27, 2020. Around 2304 candidates qualified for the IAS interview. The candidates need to fill the details related to the service preferences and Zones/States preference in case they are selected for the Indian Administrative Services and Indian Police Services. UPSC also released the names of the candidates who passed the IAS Main(written) exam 2019.

The candidates who clear the IAS Main exam 2019 will be called for the IAS personality test(interview) at the UPSC office in New Delhi. The candidates need to report to the commission as per the IAS interview schedule published after the IAS Main result. The candidates need to carry all their original educational documents for verification done at the UPSC office before the IAS interview.
The candidates who did not clear the IAS main exam need not feel sad and heartbroken. They can see the important details for the IAS exam 2020 and appear in the upcoming IAS prelims exam scheduled to be conducted on May 31, 2020. The candidates need to prepare the IAS syllabus thoroughly to get selected in the IAS exam. Since IAS main syllabus is the full-scale extension of the IAS prelims syllabus, the candidates will be benefitted with the integrated approach to the IAS exam as a whole. IAS Syllabus is the key to the IAS exam and the candidates cannot oversee it.
The UPSC IAS Main is the second phase of the prestigious Civil Services Exam and its marks are very important because they are added in the final merit list of the IAS Result. IAS Main exam comprises the IAS Main( written) exam and the personality test. UPSC has declared the result for the IAS Main (written) exam 2019. Last year, the IAS main (written) result was declared on December 20, but this year it is delayed because of a case pending in the Central Administrative Tribunal.
As per the notification, the number of aspirants passed in the IAS Main exam will be twice the number of IAS exam vacancies to be filled. The chances of making to the final merit list of IAS exam increases very much, once a candidate’s name appears in the IAS main result. After the IAS main result, there is a probability of 50% of getting any rank in the final IAS result. UPSC will declare the IAS result one week after IAS Interview phase will be over.
