The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced IBPS Clerk and SO 2024 final result. Along with the result, the cut off marks were also released. Candidates can download their results by logging with the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The cut off has been released state-wise and category-wise. Based on the final result, candidates were selected for the final appointment. Provisional allotment of candidates was done based on the merit-cum-preference basis.

How is the IBPS Clerk & SO Provisional Allotment Done?

In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice. The provisional allotment of candidates is subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria of participating banks including proficiency in Local Language of the State and identity verification. Candidates belonging to the reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to the General Category, have been treated at par with a General category candidate for drawing up the merit list. Such a candidate has not been adjusted against a reserved post.

 

Q:   How IBPS Clerk scores are normalised?
A:
Normalisation of marks is done using equi-percentile method. The exam is conducted in multiple sessions. The question papers are different for different sessions. The corrected scores obtained by each candidate in different sessions are normalised. Scores upto two decimal points are taken for the purpose of calculations. After normalization, final scores are rounded off up to two decimal digits.
