Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 02/2020 recruitment cancelled due to COVID-19

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik exam (02/2020) has been canceled, Indian Coast Guard has put out a notification on the official website regarding this. The exam was slated to be conducted in April, however, the COVID-19 spread and the ensuing lockdown to prevent its spread has lead Indian Coast Guard to postpone the exam that has been cancelled now.
Indian Coast Guard released the notification for Yantrik (02/2020) on 15 February 2020. In the notification, ICG invited application for 37 yantrik posts, among them 19 posts for Yantrik Technical (Mechanical), 3 posts for Yantrik Technical (Electrical) and 15 posts for Yantrik Technical (Electronics and Telecommunication) were announced.
Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Online application started on March 16 and it ended on March 22. The written test is the first stage of the recruitment process followed by Physical fitness Test and Medical Examination of the shortlisted candidates. This written test is objective in nature or MCQ based. Questions are being asked from respective branches (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication) along with a few questions from General Knowledge, Reasoning, General Aptitude and English.
Yantrik is one of the most sought-after jobs offered by Indain Coast Guard, only Male candidates between 18 and 22 years of age can apply. SC/ST and OBC candidates will get 5 years and 3 years upper age relaxation, respectively. Candidates must have a 10th or Matriculation degree along with Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) with 60% in aggregate.
