National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday announced that results for UGC-NET June 2025 cycle will be declared on July 22, 2025.

Amid mounting pressure from students and growing public outcry, National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday announced that results for UGC-NET June 2025 cycle will be declared on July 22, 2025. announcement came shortly before a planned mass delegation by Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) to NTA headquarters in Okhla, New Delhi.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), NTA stated: “National Testing Agency will announce result of UGC NET June 2025 cycle on 22nd July 2025.”

development follows sustained protests and online campaigns by aspirants demanding clarity on result date. Earlier in day, JNUSU mobilised students to gather at JNU Main Gate at 11 AM before proceeding to NTA office, calling delay “unjustified” and “damaging” to academic careers.

“indefinite delay is unjustified and impacts academic planning, research prospects, and job applications of thousands of candidates,” JNUSU said in a statement signed by President Nitish Kumar, Vice-President Manisha, and General Secretary Munteha Fatima.

UGC-NET is a key national-level exam for determining eligibility for Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions in Indian universities. With no result date declared until now, candidates had taken to social media using hashtags like #ReleaseUGCNETResults and #UGCNETJune2025 to voice frustration over silence from authorities.

Earlier this month, Shiksha.com reported on growing anxiety among aspirants due to absence of communication from NTA. issue had added to concerns already raised over NEET-UG and CUET-UG this year, raising broader questions around exam governance and transparency.

While announcement of a definitive result date is expected to provide some relief, JNUSU and student groups have reiterated demands for a predictable, timely, and transparent exam calendar moving forward.
