MPPSC 2020 State Services exam postponed; New dates soon

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has cancelled the State Services Exams 2020 and all other exams as proposed in the MPPSC exam calendar 2020. The MPPSC issued a notice on July 23, 2020 regarding the cancellation of all the exams mentioned in the MPPSC 2020 exam calendar. The MPPSC has cancelled all the exams because of the coronavirus pandemic across the state

The MPPSC will again issue a new exam calendar, notifying the new exam dates for all the remaining exam. Some petitions are pending in the state high court related to the exams. The MPPSC cited this as a reason to postpone those exams. The MPPSC also cited that the lockdown implemented in the state because of COVID-19 spread makes it impossible to conduct the state PSC exams in the states. The commission will again prepare the exam calendar and send the calendar to the administration for approval.

The MPPSC conducts various exams and the MPPSC State Services exam is the most important and prestigious exam for the commission. The MPPSC State Services exam is conducted to recruit the candidates for the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) cadre of the state.

The state PCS officers are the highest services controlled by the state government. The appointment of the state PCS officers are done by the Governor of the state. They can only be removed by him or any authority appointed by him. So it is very difficult to get removed from the services. This provides independence and security to the officers to carry out their responsibilities.
