Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has postponed the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET), read on to know more details.

Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has decided to postpone REET 2021 which was to be held on April 25, 2021. The exam will now be held on June 20, 2021.

With the increasing demand from a certain section of the candidates and political leaders to change the date of REET exam as the exam date was coinciding with Mahavir Jayanti. The chairman of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), Dr. DP Jaroli previously said that the candidates should not be in any confusion as there is no proposal to change the date of REET exam. Later on Sunday, the board announced a decision to conduct the exam on June 20, 2021.

However, the Rajasthan education board announced that REET examination has been postponed due to the opportunity given to the candidates of the economically weaker section to implement the announcement made by the honorable Mr. Ashok Gehlot in the Vidhan Sabha in the budget session. The board chairman has announced that the board will soon notify on the process of application for the economically weaker section in REET 2021 exam.

Previously, during online application, a total of 16.5 lakh candidates had applied for REET 2021. The exam is to be held to fill vacant posts of 32,000 teachers in the state.
