Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have allowed candidates declared medically unfit in RRB Group D 2018 exam to file an appeal against their medical unfitness. Candidates are also required to upload their appeal through the link available on the official website. The appeal should be uploaded by October 21, 2020.

After the first phase of document verification of RRB Group D 2018 held from April 28, 2019, candidates were sent for medical examination to MD/Byculla and Divisional Railway Hospital/Kalyan, Pune, Solapur, Bhusawal, and Nagpur. In medical examination, some candidates had been found unfit in medical in the category from A-2 to B-1.

The decision of the medical board will be final and binding on the candidates. Therefore, if any candidate wants to appeal against the decision, may submit the same to the required authorities.

Process of submitting an appeal

  • Candidates must submit a certificate from a government/private doctor of the specialty/specialties in which the candidate has been found unfit.
  • Such a certificate should contain a note that the government/private specialist is fully aware of the physical and visual standards set by the railway for the particular medical category.
  • To make an appeal, candidates need to pay Rs 1,000 through the demand draft. They need to upload the scanned copy of the DD PDF file.

Documents to submitted

  • A scanned copy of the appeal should be uploaded in PDF file
  • The same should be sent through registered post/speed to RRC
  • Certificate issued by government/private specialist
  • DD of Rs 1,000
  • Acknowledgment of registered post/speed post by which the appeal sent to RRC/CR, and related papers
