RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria Revised

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs)/Railway Recruitment Cell (RRCs) has revised RRB Group D eligibility criteria for aspirants who wish to apply for the exam in the future. The minimum education qualification for candidates applying to the technical departments that is Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Signal & Telecom departments) and catering wing of Railways will be Class 10 pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training or Class 10 pass plus ITI.

The official notice released by RRC Western Railways in terms of the revised eligibility guidelines reads, “The one time exemption granted by the Indian Railways in Employment Notice no. 02/2018 and RRC-01/2019 issued by the Railway Recruitment Board in February 2018 and March 2019, respectively was only special dispensation for those recruitment drives and same has now be withdrawn.”

“The minimum educational qualification for all future recruitments to be notified after June 15, 2019 in Level-1 of the pay matrix in technical departments (i.e, Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Signal & Telecom departments) and Catering wing of Railways will be 10^th pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training or 10^th pass plus ITI. All aspiring candidates may please note the revised eligibility and prepare accordingly.”

Current RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria

RRB Group D eligibility criteria was released along with the notification in terms of age, educational qualification and nationality. The age limit prescribed for the exam was 18 to 33 years. Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board or have an ITI degree or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
