SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Skill Test 2019 will be conducted on September 15 and 16. Read further for details.

SSC CGL 2019 skill test will be conducted on September 15 and 16 on the pan-India Level. The Staff Selection Commission released the dates for the Combined Graduate Level Skill test. The SSC CGL skill test is the last stage of the recruitment process of the SSC CGL. The candidates who clear the skill test will be called for the document verification process.

The SSC CGL exam conducted two types of skill tests based on the service preference filled by the candidate during the application process. The two types of skill tests in the SSC CGL exam are as follows.

  • Data Entry Skill Test
  • Computer Proficiency Test

SSC CGL Data Entry Skill Test

The SSC CGL Data entry skill test judges the data entry speed and accuracy of the candidate. The candidates who apply for the Tax Assistant in Central Excise and Income Tax need to appear in this test. Though the skill test is qualifying in nature it is very tough. The candidates are required to type on a computer with a speed of 8000 key depression in an hour. The test is conducted for 15 minutes and the candidates need to press around 2000 keys with accuracy.

SSC CGL Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

This skill test is conducted from various posts as given in the SSC CGL Exam. The candidates are tested in three modules, namely.

  • Word Processing
  • Spread Sheet
  • Generation of Slides

The candidate needs to qualify for the skill test conducted under SSC CGL Exam.

After the skill test, document verification is conducted at the regional headquarters and after that appointment is made. The SSC CGL 2019 exam got delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. SSC CGL 2019 notification was released on October 22, 2019, and the SSC CGL recruitment process was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic across the nation.

SSC CGL exam 2021 Tier-I exam eas postponed due to the surge in the COVID-19 cases across the country in April and May. The SSC CGL Tier-I 2021 exam will now be conducted from August 13 to 24 across the nation.
