TNPSC Group 4 2020 Counselling postponed because of Nivar Cyclone. Check here new dates.

The TNPSC Group 4 2020 counselling for the Steno and typist posts were postponed because of the Nivar Cyclone. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission issued an official notice to reschedule the counselling scheduled for November 24 and 25. The counselling for the said dates will now be conducted on December 8 and 9.

The TNPSC released the counselling schedule for the Typist and Steno typist post of the TNPSC Group 4 services. The number of vacancies for the Typist was 1901. The original Certificate verification for the post of typists was commenced from November 2. The TNPSC released the result of some posts on January 31, 2020.

The original certificate verification and counselling were scheduled to be conducted in March and April, but it was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Recently, the TNPSC released the counselling dates for the post of typist and steno-typist on October 20. The commission has initiated the TNPSC Group 4 recruitment process once again to complete it amid the COVID-19 pandemic. But as the coastal area and the other parts of the state was devastated by the Nivar Cyclone, the counselling scheduled for November 24 and 25 was postponed to December 8 and 9.

TNPSC released the Group 4 notification on June 14, 2019 for all the vacancies of the year 2018-20. Six-thousand four hundred ninety-one vacancies were notified in the TNPSC Group 4 notification 2018-20. The recruitment process for other posts was complete before the coronavirus pandemic and only the exam process of Steno-Typist and Typist post was affected.
