Definition of Others - Applicants not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs] who have put in 5 years or more of service in the State / Central Government are not eligible to apply even if they are within the age limit.

No maximum age limit for applicants belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all castes who possess a General educational Qualification that is higher than the Minimum General Educational Qualification (i.e. who have passed P.U.C/H.S.C/Diploma/Degree). No maximum age limit means that the candidate must not achieve the age of 60 years on the date of notification or at the time of selection/appointment. 

The candidates should note that they can get their native place posting if they score the highest marks in the TNPSC Group 4 exam among all the candidates from their native area, they will be called in the counselling first and they can opt for their native place posting.

Candidates should have adequate knowledge of the Tamil language on the date of the notification.

TNPSC Group 4 selection process includes the following steps:

TNPSC Group 4 Registration

The candidates need a register number to fill out the TNPSC Group 4 application. The candidates need to register themselves through the TNPSC Group 4 registration process and obtain a valid register number to fill out the TNPSC Group 4 application.

Application 

After registration, the candidates need to fill out the TNPSC Group 4 application online. The candidates need to submit the application fee as mentioned in the official notification. Without submitting the application fee, the application form will not be submitted. 

Admit Card

TNPSC issues the admit card to the eligible candidates ten days before the exam date. The admit cards are released online only and no physical admit card is sent to the candidates. TNPSC Group 4 Admit Card is the official permission letter to appear in the exam.

Written Exam

Candidates need to appear for the written TNPSC Group 4 exam conducted offline across the state. The candidates who score equal to or more than the cutoff mark (as decided by the commission) are called for the Certificate Verification process.

Result

TNPSC Group 4 result is released after the evaluation of all the OMR sheets. Based on the marks obtained by candidates in the written test, a tentative merit list is announced by TNPSC on its official website

Certificate Verification

Counselling
