TNTET notification 2020, which was to be released on May 4, has been delayed most likely due to the ongoing nationwide lockdown.

TNTET notification 2020 was scheduled to be out on May 4, but it has not been released by Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board (TN TRB). As the media reports suggest, the delay is most likely due to the ongoing nationwide lockdown 3.0 that will be continued till May 17.

TN TRB released the tentative annual planner for the year 2020-2021 in January. As per the calendar, TN TRB was to release the TNTET notification on May 4. The TNTET exam dates were also announced in the planner, the exams are scheduled to be held on June 27th and 28th for paper 1 and paper 2 respectively. But considering the fact of lockdown and its repercussions, TN TRB may decide to postpone the exam and as a result of it, they have delayed the release of TNTET notification.

There is no official communication regarding the delay of the release of TNTET notification from TN TRB has come so far, candidates need to keep a hawk-eye on the official website regarding the updates in the coming days.

Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) conducts Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) to select candidates who are eligible to become teachers in Primary and Upper Primary Levels. TNTET is conducted in two parts, Paper 1 (for classes I – V) and Paper 2 (for classes VI-VIII). All TNTET qualified candidates are provided with a TNTET certificate of marks, scores obtained in the exam remain valid for seven years.
