UGC NET 2020: Candidates urge NTA to extend application last date

While UGC NET 2020 application last date is still far, candidates are urging NTA to extend the deadline amid the current COVID-19 situation.  

While various exams are being postponed amid the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the candidates of UGC NET June 2020 exam have urged National Testing Agency (NTA) to extent the last date for filling UGC NET application form. Many students have taken to Twitter to request the extension of the UGC NET application date as they are facing difficulties in filling the online form. Some of the candidates have also asked NTA and MHRD if the UGC NET 2020 exam will be postponed amid the prevalent conditions.

Currently, the last date to apply online for UGC NET exam is still far. The UGC NET application form 2020 window will close on April 16. However, candidates will be able to pay the UGC NET application fee by April 17. The UGC NET application correction window will open on April 18 and close on April 24.

Thereafter, candidates will be able to download their UGC NET admit card 2020 from May 15 onwards. The UGC NET 2020 exam will be held from June 15-20 in two shifts. Finally, UGC NET result 2020 will be declared by July 5.   

In UGC NET December 2019 exam, total 10,34,872 candidates had registered and 7,93,813 candidates had appeared for the exam. Out of the appearing candidates, 60,147 candidates had qualified the exam for Assistant Professorship and 5,092 candidates had cleared the test for both Assistant Professorship and JRF.
