NTA will open UGC NET form correction window from November 10 to 12, 2025, closing at 11:50 P.M.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has set tomorrow, November 7, 2025, as the last day for candidates to apply for the UGC-NET December 2025 examination. NTA started accepting UGC NET application form on October 7 for aspiring looking for jobs as Assistant Professors, Junior Research Fellows, and Ph.D. candidates.

The UGC-NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for academic roles and doctoral admissions, will be held as a Computer Based Test (CBT) for 85 subjects. The NTA will close the application window at 11:50 P.M. tomorrow, November 7. Candidates can pay the examination fee through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI until 11:50 P.M. on November 7.

UGC NET December 2025 important Dates

The NTA notice, available on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in, details the exam related schedule. Online application submissions began on October 7 and will run until November 7. A correction window for application details will open from November 10 to 12, 2025, also closing at 11:50 P.M. However, dates for the exam city announcement, admit card download, examination dates, and the display of recorded responses and answer keys have not been announced.

How to Apply for UGC NET exam

Candidates must visit ugcnet.nta.ac.in to complete the process. The NTA has advised aspirants to apply early to avoid last-minute technical issues. NTA notice has asked candidates to ensure they fill correct details, as no requests for changes will be considered post-correction.

The NTA has not yet announced the detailed schedule of an exam. But the exam dates are released. It will be conducted from December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026, based on past cycles. Candidates are requested to monitor the website for updates on admit cards and exam centers.

  • Enter the required details and complete the registration
  • Fill out the complete application form
  • Upload scanned pictures of passport size photo (10-200 kb) and signature (10-50 kb). Both images should be in JPEG format
  • Pay the UGC NET application fee (Gen - INR 1150; OBC/EWS - INR 600; SC/ST/PwD/ Transgender - INR 325)
  • Save and submit the form
  • Download the confirmation page
