UPPCL JE (Civil) 2021 recruitment notification has been released for 21 vacancies. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from February 3 to 23, 2021.

Electricity Service Commission, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited has invited online applications from Indian nationals for direct recruitment to the Junior Engineer (Trainee) Civil. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from February 3 to 23, 2021. A total of 21 vacancies have been announced.

Candidates availing the facility of reservation under any category should clearly mention the category applicable. Candidates should note that under any circumstances, change of data will not be allowed, after successful submission of application form. However, the submitted UPPCL JE application form can be viewed and downloaded or printed. The application fee for General/OBC/EWS candidates is Rs 1,000 and for SC/ST candidates is Rs 700.

Selected candidates under UPPCL JE recruitment will get salary as per the Seventh Pay Commission under pay matrix level-7. The salary of selected candidates will be Rs 44,900.

Language Proficiency

Candidates must produce a certificate from the head of the institution from which he passed out or from a gazette officer in Uttar Pradesh that he can read and write Hindi in the Devnagri Script with ease. Such a certificate will not be necessary in the case of a candidates who passed the High School or an equivalent examination with Hindi or who has obtained a degree, diploma, or certificate of any Hindi examination from an institution recognised by the state government.

Selection Process

The selection process only includes Computer-Based Test (CBT) only. The CBT will be held at Varanasi, Lucknow, Agra and Meerut cities. The test will be of three-hour duration with 200 marks and will comprise of 200 questions, out of which 150 questions will be from the Diploma Level Engineering, 20 questions from General Knowledge/Awareness, 20 questions from Reasoning and 10 questions from General Hindi. Candidates who gets less than 30% will be rejected for further process of selection.

Preparation of Merit List

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the CBT. Maximum number of candidates to be shortlisted for document verification will be equal to two times the number of category-wise vacancies. Candidates having equal marks as that of the last shortlisted candidates will also be called for document verification.

Training Process

The selected candidate has to undergo a training programme for a period as decided by UPPCL. On successful completion of the training, candidates will be considered for absorption as per existing rules of UPPCL.
