UPSC added four new exam centres for the Civil Service Exam (CSE) 2021 Prelims exam. The Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) will activate the IAS 2021 exam centre choice change window from July 12. See here for details.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) added four exam centres in view of a large number of candidates in the Civil Services Exam (CSE) Prelims 2021 that includes the Indian Forest Services (IFoS) too. The UPSC added four additional exam centres across the different states in India and invited the revised exam centre choice from the candidates.
The UPSC added the following four exam centres for IAS 2021 Prelims exam.
1. Almora, Uttarakhand
2. Srinagar, Uttarakhand
3. Nasik, Maharashtra
4. Surat, Gujarat

How to change the IAS 2021 Exam Centre?

The candidates can change their exam centre in the manner given below

  • Visit the official website of UPSC – upsc.gov.in
  • Go to the What's New Section
  • Click on the notice given for changing the UPSC IAS 2021 Prelims exam centre
  • Click on the link given corresponding to the Civil Services Prelims exam
  • Login with the credentials
  • Choose the IAS Prelims 2021 exam centre from the list given.
  • Submit the IAS 2021 application form.

The UPSC issued a notice regarding the addition of the aforesaid new exam centres. The UPSC will activate the window to change the exam centre, keeping in view these four exam centres. The UPSC will allocate the new exam centres on a first-apply-first allot basis. The exam centre choice window will be activated in two slots. The UPSC will activate the window from July 12 to 19 in the first slot and July 26 to 30 in the second slot.

The IAS 2021 Prelims exam is scheduled to the conducted on October 10 as per new dates released by the UPSC on June 29. Earlier, the UPSC added a new IAS exam centre in Leh for the Leh and Ladakh candidates. With the addition of these four new IAS Prelims exam centres, the total number of IAS Prelims exam centres in India now stands at 77.

IAS 2021 Prelims exam will be conducted in an offline mode simultaneously across the nation in pen and paper mode. The candidates will be required to mark their answers in the OMR answer sheet. The UPSC releases the answer key after the completion of the exam process.
