Union Public Service Commission will conduct Combined Defence Services Examination II on September 14, 2025. CDS admit card has already been released for all registered candidates. - Ensure that details on CDS 2 admit card match ID proof.
CDS Reporting Time and Entry Rules
- Candidates should report to exam venue well before reporting time mentioned on admit card.
- No entry will be allowed after gate-closing time.
- Latecomers will not be permitted under any circumstances.
UPSC CDS Dress Code
No specific uniform is prescribed for CDS written test, but candidates must follow general exam dress code rules:
- Wear simple, decent, and comfortable clothes (formal or semi-formal).
- Avoid flashy or heavy accessories.
- Do not wear smart watches, jewellery, metallic objects, caps, goggles, etc.
- Wear slippers/sandals with low heels instead of shoes if the centre has a strict frisking policy.

- Carry only essential stationery items: black ballpoint pens, admit card, and ID proof.

CDS 2 OMR Sheet and Answer Marking
- Use only a black ballpoint pen for marking CDS answers on the OMR sheet.

Yes, the CDS 2 application last date to apply was extended to June 20 from June 17, 2025. A one-time extension was provided by the commission. The application correction window was opened from July 7 to July 9, 2025.
UPSC released the final merit list for the CDS 2 2024. A total of 574 candidates comprising 510 men and 64 women qualified for admission to the OTA, Chennai. Candidates who are selected will be inducted into the 122nd Short Service Commission Course (Non-Technical) for Men and 36th Short Service Commission Women (non-Technical) course, both scheduled to commence in October 2025.
