UPSC 2021 notification will be delayed and will be released later. The Supreme Court will pronounce the decision on the extra attempt in IAS exam 2021 case tomorrow. The SC restrained UPSC from issuing the IAS 2021 notification till the final judgement of the case. It is very unlikely that UPSC can issue the notification with all the changes, as directed by the Supreme Court, tomorrow. UPSC needs time and consultation to incorporate all the changes.

In the SC case, the Additional Solicitor General (ASG) said that giving an extra attempt to all the candidates having their last attempt will be an injustice to the candidates appearing in the IAS exam 2021. He said that, before granting any decision, the SC should hear all the candidates who are going to appear in the IAS exam 2021 before pronouncing any judgement on the extra attempt.

The UPSC 2021 notification was scheduled to be issued on February 10, but the UPSC need to incorporate all the changes in the IAS 2021 notification as pronounced in the judgement tomorrow. The UPSC need time to make the changes so that their legal interpretation will remain in consonance with the SC decision.

The UPSC IAS 2021 exam will be conducted on June 27. The UPSC released the exam calendar 2021 last year. As per the exam calendar, the UPSC Civil Service 2021 notification was scheduled for February 10.
