UPSC Prelims 2020 result was declared on October 23 on the official website of Union Public Service Commission. The UPSC IAS Prelims exam 2020 was conducted on October 23 across the nation in two sessions. The UPSC released the official result notice mentioning that the qualified candidates need to fill the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) online by November 11, 2020. The UPSC Main exam 2020 is scheduled to be conducted from January 8, 2021.
The UPSC Prelims Cutoff and individual marks of the candidates will be released only after the declaration of UPSC final result 2020. Till then, the candidates need to wait.
How to check the UPSC Prelims 2020 result?
Step 1. Go to the official website - upsc.gov.in
Step 2. Click on the Civil Services Result appearing in front of the opening screen
Step 3. A new page will appear showing the βResult: Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2020 PDF link of the final result
Step 4. On Clicking above link UPSC IAS Result 2020 PDF will open.
Step 5. Search the roll number in the UPSC Result 2020 PDF
Step 6. Download the UPSC Prelims Result pdf for future reference.

The UPSC main exam is a descriptive type exam conducted offline. The candidates need to write the essay type answers in the IAS main exam. The marks obtained in the UPSC main (written) and IAS interview are considered for the UPSC result(final).
The UPSC IAS prelims exam is considered as one of the toughest exams across the nation because of the uncertainty of the questions asked in the IAS Prelims exam. The UPSC Civil Services Exam is a three-stage. UPSC Prelims exam is a screening exam only, and marks secured in the UPSC Prelims exam will not be considered for the final UPSC result.
