UPSC issued a notice for IAS prelims 2020. See here the details.

UPSC IAS 2020 prelims will be conducted on October 4 across India. Union Public Service Commission has issued a notice reiterating all the instructions issued with the IAS prelims admit card. In the notice, UPSC has reissued all the instructions related to the IAS 2020 prelims exam.

UPSC reissued all the instructions separately to underline the importance of the instructions and the candidates should follow them without fail. UPSC has informed again that the IAS 2020 admit card for prelims exam was released earlier and the candidates need to follow all the instructions given along the admit card.

The following are the instructions re-iterated by the UPSC.

IAS Prelims 2020:General Instructions 

  • The candidate should reach the exam venue ten minutes before the commencement of exam for the frisking process (wherever asked for).
  • The candidates should carry the same government ID proof as mentioned on the IAS admit card. 
  • After downloading IAS Prelims 2020 admit card, the candidate should see that the photograph on the admit card is clear. In case the photograph is blurred, the candidate should carry two identical photographs to the exam venue (One for each session) with the printout of admit card and the government ID proof mentioned on the IAS admit card. The candidates will be allowed to appear in the IAS prelims 2020 with an undertaking.
  • The candidate should mark all their answers on the OMR sheet and fill the attendance sheet with black ballpoint pen only. The answers marked otherwise will not be considered.

IAS Prelims 2020: COVID-19 related instructions

  • The candidates will not be allowed to enter the IAS exam venue without a proper face cover or mask.
  • The candidates are allowed to carry their hand sanitizer in a small transparent bottle. In case the hand sanitizer does not meet the specified requirements, it won’t be allowed inside the exam venue.
