UPSC recommended reserve list candidates of the IES exam 2019. See here the details.

UPSC has recommended the reserve list candidates for the IES exam 2019. The Union Public Service Commission released an official notice stating the recommendation of the fifty-six reserve list candidates. The category-wise break-up of the candidates are.

  • Unreserved – 18,
  • Other Backward Classes -34,
  • Scheduled Tribe-4.

The recommendation of seven candidates is provisional in nature. The UPSC maintain a reserve list in order of merit below the last recommended candidate. The UPSC received the requisition from the Ministry of Railway and hence decided to recommend the candidates from the IES reserve list 2019.

The IES exam was notified in September 2018 for 581 vacancies. Now with this recommendation, the total number of vacancies under the IES exam 2019 will be 637. The UPSC will verify the documents of the provisional candidates first and then only the appointment letter will be issued to these candidates. The provisionally selected candidates need to submit the requisite certificates for verification within three months.

The IES 2019 result was declared on October 25, 2019. The UPSC had recommended 494 candidates in the result and now it has recommended 56 more candidates. So now the total number of candidates selected in the IES exam 2019 will become 550.

The IES exam 2019 prelims exam was conducted on January 6, 2019 in two sessions across the nation. The Engineering Services 2019 Main exam was conducted on June 30, 2019 at 24 centres across the nation. The Engineering Services 2019 personality test was conducted in September-October 2019.
