UPSC will open the online facility to change the IAS 2020 Prelims exam centres: Read here details
In the view of COVID-19 pandemic, UPSC will provide a chance to the candidates to change their IAS 2020 prelims exam centres. The IAS prelims 2020 will be conducted across the nation on October 4 as announced in the revised UPSC exam calendar. The UPSC will open the IAS Application 2020 for the candidates once again so they can change their choice of exam centre for the IAS 2020 exam.
The UPSC issued a notice on July 1, 2020 about the above facility and also notified the dates for the changes in the IAS 2020 exam centres. The window to submit the revised IAS exam centre choice will be operational in two phases. Phase 1 will be from July 7 to 13(till 6 PM) and the second phase will open from July 20 to 24 (till 6 PM).

The candidates should understand that the IAS exam centres will be allotted on the โfirst apply first allotโ basis as mentioned in the IAS notification 2020. UPSC also mentioned in the notice that it has acquired new exam centres and the enhanced capacity of the existing IAS exam centres. All the eligibility conditions will remain the same as mentioned in the IAS notification 2020 released by UPSC on Feb 12, 2020.

Besides, the UPSC will also open the IAS application withdrawal facility on August 1 to 8 2020. The candidates who want to withdraw their IAS application 2020 can withdraw their candidature as per the dates for the UPSC IAS application withdrawal.
Once the candidate withdraws their IAS application, his candidature for the IAS exam 2020 will be withdrawn permanently.
