Allahabad University Admissions 2023: Allahabad University has begun the admission process for PhD courses. The application process of the Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET)-2022 for admission to PhD courses will be held for doctoral courses of 43 subjects with a total of 709 seats, including 316 in central varsity departments and centres and 393 in constituent colleges.

Prof. Jayanta Kumar Pati, Director, Admissions said that the test will be held in offline mode in Prayagraj. The online registration and form submission started on February 15 and will end on March 14, as reported by TOI.

He further added that the last date to submit the fee and form (online) submission is March 15. Director, CRET-2022 prof PK Ghosh said" the NET/JRF candidates are required to appear in CRET Level-1 and Level-2 examinations. Teacher candidates of the university or constituent colleges, army officers and international candidates are exempted from CRET Level-1 test. But they must appear in CRET Level-2 test. Likewise, all candidates (except those exempted from CRET Level-1), including NET/JRF, are required to appear in Level-1 examination," he said.

The CRET-2022 Level-I test will have two papers, the first of which will have 50 objective-type questions worth two marks each. There will be about 25 objective-type questions from research methods and 25 topic-specific questions. There won't be any negative marking.
