List of documents required for cuet 2026 applicationCommon University Entrance Test (CUET) registrations 2026 last date was extended till February 04. Candidates could apply online at cuet.nta.nic.in. The last date for CUET UG registration 2026 was February 04, 2026 (11.50 PM). Candidates who applied for the exam must keep the required documents for CUET UG 2026 ready to fill the online form. It must be noted that the CUET exam has now been made mandatory to get admission to undergraduate courses in all the central universities, as well as other participating universities. Candidates preparing for CUET must fill the CUET application form 2026. NTA will soon release the exact CUET dates 2026. So far, the tentative dates for CUET 2026 are May 11 to May 31, 2026.

CUET exam is conducted for admission to more than 240 participating universities, including Central, State, deemed, Private, and Government Universities. Top Central Universities such as the University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Jawaharlal Nehru University are among others that will accept CUET 2026 for admission into their undergraduate programme for the academic year 2026-27. The Common Universities Entrance Test will be a computer-based test that will be held in 13 languages.

CUET 2026: Required Documents for CUET Application Form 2026

All those candidates who were looking forward to apply for CUET 2026 must upload the scanned copies of the following documents required for CUET application form:

  • Class 10/12 mark sheets
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Signature
  • ID proof with photo (Aadhar card, driving license, etc.)
  • Caste certificate, non-creamy layer certificate if required

Q:   Is CUET exam registration open?

No, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2027 registrations have not commenced yet. The registration window will be active at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the CUET 2027 notification in first week of January. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2027 process will commence online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2027 exam must complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they have fulfilled the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.

Q:   What is a good score in CUET UG?
A: 

On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2025-26, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top central  universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other universities in the desired course. Given below is the range that is considered good for admission:

  • Very Good Score: 700 and above
  • Good Score: 650 and above
Q:   What is the difficulty level of the CUET exam?
A: 

The difficulty level of the CUET exam varies between moderate and tough. Since the CUET UG exam is held for multiple subjects and slots, the difficulty level of the exam varies from subject to subject. Sometimes, the difficulty level may also vary for different slots. While for the well-prepared candidates, the difficulty level will be low, for the underprepared students, the level of difficulty will be on the higher side.  

Q:   What is the total score in CUET UG?
A: 

CUET UG total marks is 250 Marks for each subject. Candidates can choose up to five CUET subjects. Each subject paper has 50 questions which will total to 250 marks for each subject. For every correct answer, candidate will get 5 marks. The CUET total marks will be uniform for all 37 subjects. The Total CUET subjects marks can vary depending on the number of subjects chosen by candidates.

  • If three CUET subjects chosen: 750 total marks
  • If four CUET subjects chosen: 1000 total marks
  • If five CUET subjects chosen: 1250 total marks

CUET Registration 2026: How to apply

CUET UG 2026 registrations ended on February 04 and last date to pay the application fee was January 07. Students who will filled the CUET application form 2026 could complete the registration process by following the instructions given below:

  • Click on the official CUET link provided: cuet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the CUET registration 2026 link
  • Register by typing in credentials such as name, phone number and email ID
  • Log in using the new registration ID and password that is sent to the registered mobile or email
  • Pay the application fee
  • Click on the submit button.

How to Fill CUET 2026 Application Form

Candidates must note that the CUET documents required cannot be submitted offline. The application process will be done in online mode only. No hard copy or offline application will be accepted.

  • Visit the official website of CUET UG: cuet.nta.nic.in

  • Click on the tab indicating CUET 2026 Registration

  • Enter CUET UG 2026 login details
  • Enter the mandatory details such as name, email ID and mobile number

  • Enter the captcha

  • Once your registration credentials are generated, log in to complete the application process

  • Fill in the CUET application form with personal, educational and communication details followed by course, university and exam city preferences

  • Applicants will have to upload their photograph, signature and category certificate documents in the requisite format and sizes

  • Pay the CUET fees 2026 through net banking/ credit card/ debit card/ UPI/ Wallet

What After CUET UG 2026 Application Process?

Soon after the closing of CUET UG 2026 application process, NTA opened the CUET form correction 2026 window at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can edit the details in the CUET online form 2026 in case of any mistake. Candidates also have the option to modify the CUET subjects. The CUET correction window is open till February 11, 2026 (11.50 PM). NTA will issue the CUET admit card and CUET intimation slips to registered candidates only once the correction window is closed.

CUET Exam: How To Get Admit Card

The NTA will upload the CUET exam 2026 admit card on its official website ahead of the examination. Once released, candidates are advised to check the admit card carefully for all particulars such as roll number, name, subject group, date of birth, gender, examination centre name, city, medium opted, category, etc. It must be noted that the admit card will not be released in physical mode.

Yes, candidates can get admission to Delhi University with 300 marks in CUET. But in such a case, the course options will be limited. Candidates belonging to reserved criteria will have chances of getting admission to less preferred courses and colleges.

A: 

For most domain subjects, NCERT books are the primary preparation source for CUET UG. However, mock tests and question banks are also important for practice.

Q:   What is a good score in CUET commerce?

For commerce students, aiming admission to top CUET accepting college must score between 750 and 800marks out of 1000 marks. Securing minimum of 90 percentile is considered a good score for admission to top tier courses like B.Com, B.Com (Hons.). Candidates must also ensure to meet the subject criteria for successful admission.  

Q:   What is the difference between city intimation slip and CUET admit card?
A: 

CUET intimation slip and admit card are important documents. CUET admit card has to be carried on the exam day. An intimation slip is released to inform candidates about the allotted city. CUET intimation slip mentions these details:

  • Name of candidates 
  • Exam city
  • Date of CUET UG subject exam
  • Shift of the CUET subject opted
  • Medium of the exam

The CUET Admit Card is the final document that is released by the NTA a few days before the exam. It contains all the information that is available on the CUET City Intimation Slip, along with the following information:

  • Name and address of the exam centre
  • Roll number
  • Admit card number
  • Photograph of the candidate

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card.

What is CUET Eligibility?

As per to CUET 2026 eligibility criteria for undergraduates, there is no age limit set for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination or are appearing in 2026, irrespective of their age, can appear in CUET UG 2026 examination. Once the examination is completed and scores are released, documents required for CUET counselling will be released by the Universities separately.

No, CUET-UG is not a mandatory entrance exam for GGSIPU BCom admission. Candidates who did not appear in CUET-UG can also appear in IPU CET which is conducted by GGSIPU itself. During counselling rounds, candidates can be evaluated based on this exam's score as well.

No, CUET is not a compulsory exam required for getting admission in SAGE University Bhopal. The university accepts CUET scores, admission is primarily through the SAGE Entrance Exam (SEE) or merit in qualifying exams.

No, VELS School of Mass Communication does not accept CUET or any other entrance for that matter. All courses accept merit-based admissions. Which means, only your Class 10/ 12/ UG marks will be considered depending on the programme.

No, CUET-UG counselling is yet to begin for academic year 2026. Results for this year's exam are scheduled to release by July. Counselling rounds will begin only after results have been declared. Candidates can track counselling dates from website of TISS, Mumbai for BSc admission.
